Black Lives Matter

Recently I was on the scene of a homicide of a young man who was murdered in broad daylight on a Sunday afternoon. Emotions were all over the place from spectators, the family, and friends who were all affected by this tragedy. As I was standing conversing with onlookers a police man (white) approached me and ask “Do you know anything? Are you a witness?” I stated that I wasn’t and the cop went on to say that something has to give, no one is ever willing to come forward and it’s another young black man dead in the street! As I turned to walk back towards my car a (girl) friend of the victim ran up crying hysterically yelling “they gone pay for this, they took him from me, they did this.” She even said a name or two. She continued to shout, she was yelling names and reasons on why the victim was murdered. Then one of her friends yelled for her to “Shut your damn mouth, you’re talking to much!” This is where the problem lies for me. My family or even a friend could not have been murdered in the street like an animal, and I remain silent because of street code. Why would anyone want their loved ones to die in vain? How y’all expect black lives to matter to any other race if black lives don’t seem matter to black people. Then to put the icing on the cake after the young man’s life was so visciously taken from him someone disrespected his soul, by putting his dead body and grieving relative on a social media site! How do black lives matter if black people don’t even respect their peers spirit? Black lives gotta matter to black people! I know that some of us are desensitized to tragedy and or death and we believe the police don’t wanna help or don’t give a damn about black lives, but if there’s no evidence you’ve got to have witnesses to charge and convict. It shouldn’t matter that the FWPD isn’t out looking for the murderer, especially if you were standing right next to the killer and not willing to say anything. Some of y’all wanna take matters into your own hands with “street justice,” with the belief that if your family is hurting theirs should be too. That’s bullshit to say the least, because though no one deserves to die these young men and women are dying for nothing! Would it make it better if there was a reason? No, but it’ll make it all make some kind of sense as to why there are so many homicides in such a small town. We certainly had some deaths that were complete tragedies and the victims were truly at the wrong place at the wrong time. But to the youngsters that put themselves in the situations to have conflict that causes them to have to carry pistols, or who have killed in the past and end up being killed themselves that’s truly karma. What you put out into this world is what you’ll receive. If we want black lives to matter we gotta start back appreciating black life. Start back communicating, and disciplining our children. I hear so many parents of “thugs” say “I’ve tried all I could but he did what he wanted.” Well at 16 when they began to skip school and start becoming disrespectful did you think about a military or boarding school? Did you think to call the pastor and have the church Pray for his soul? Did you reach out to a guidance counselor? Did you even think about a therapist? Black people are so naive and ignorant when it comes to mental disorders so when that child begins to act out it’s always “he or she is crazy” or “he or she isn’t going to be nothing!” and my favorite “I’m tired of that child!” So what do we typically do as a black nation? Give our child to the street where it’s gonna destroy them! I know once a child is an adult they’ll make their own decisions but a lot of these young adults started their behavior as children and it was always overlooked and or praised, now it’s a problem and they’ve gotten to far for a solution! As a parent do something with your child do not allow them to become menaces to society or a statistics. If we as parents start believing more in our black children we will begin to see black children who care more about black lives.”We’re living in a society where its political correct to let your child do whatever they want without enforcing any discipline, even if it means saving their lives!”-Unknown

Sex In the African American Community

Happy Black History Month All!!!

Happy Black History Month my fellow brothers and sisters. I would like to say thank you to you all who read in gave plenty feedback in “Murder in Ft Wayne.” I will certainly come back to that topic as it is very important to me and those in MY community. Please understand that this is a personal blog and I’m covering topics that’s extremely important to me and I’m giving my opinion as well as some true facts so if by any chance I offend anybody I do apologize ahead of time and please don’t take anything personal.

I am an Independent Consultant of the award winning adult line Bedroom Kandi founded by Kandi Burruss, so I personally believe that intimacy and sex is very important in a relationship. I believe the art of love making is magnificent and with us being mammals we were created to mate. Sex is so easy to do, I mean that’s the one thing you can master that doesn’t take any reading, writing or basic arithmetic to be great at it and if it’s done correctly can make you feel so good. But just because it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to get orgasm it still shouldn’t be done so naively. The Bedroom Kandi family promotes a happy sex life as well as a healthy one. I have several conversations with the millennials around me and to know how many don’t practice safe sex blows my mind. Remember it is not what you do but how you do it. I can remember being in the 5th or 6th grade going to the McMillen Health Center here in town and during one of the presentations the presenter was talking about being sexually active, and she stated something that stuck with me she said, “When you have sex with someone you are having sex with every person he/she has had sex with in the last 10 years as well as their sex partners.” That’s enough to make your stomach cringe so if nothing else you would think more people would wrap it up. According to http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/group/racialethnic/africanamericans/ African Americans is the ethnic/racial group most affected by HIV. The Numbers:

New HIV Infections

  • African Americans accounted for an estimated 44% of all new HIV infections among adults and adolescents (aged 13 years or older) in 2010, despite representing only 12% of the US population; considering the smaller size of the African American population in the United States, this represents a population rate that is 8 times that of whites overall.
  • In 2010, men accounted for 70% (14,700) of the estimated 20,900 new HIV infections among all adult and adolescent African Americans. The estimated rate of new HIV infections for African American men (103.6/100,000 population) was 7 times that of white men, twice that of Latino men, and nearly 3 times that of African American women.
  • In 2010, African American gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men**b represented an estimated 72% (10,600) of new infections among all African American men and 36% of an estimated 29,800 new HIV infections among all gay and bisexual men. More new HIV infections (4,800) occurred among young African American gay and bisexual men (aged 13-24) than any other subgroup of gay and bisexual men.
  • In 2010, African American women accounted for 6,100 (29%) of the estimated new HIV infections among all adult and adolescent African Americans. This number represents a decrease of 21% since 2008. Most new HIV infections among African American women (87%; 5,300) are attributed to heterosexual contact. The estimated rate of new HIV infections for African American women (38.1/100,000 population) was 20 times that of white women and almost 5 times that of Hispanic/Latino women.  Notice those numbers were in 2010. I’m sure those numbers probably have doubled as well as with the African American population decreasing.

If you noticed in the above text it stated, newest HIV infections among African American women was attributed to heterosexual contact. Yet the highest percentage of African American men affected is attributed to gay, bi sexual or men having sex with men contact. I don’t know about anyone else but I find that very disturbing. I am a fan of the LGBT community and I would not dare judge where a person’s love come from. However, I do have a huge problem with this whole “in the closet” business for several reasons. As a person I don’t care if you’re hetero or homosexual no one deserves to be denied or even harmed if they speak on whom their having intercourse with. It should be degrading if nothing else, and that is a big reason the HIV numbers or so high because so many tough guys are loving on our “sisters” yet their fronting to the crew that they like women so they’re sleeping with women to cover up that they are really homosexual.  I know a lot of the “sisters” are terrified because they can be killed by exposing a man but on the other hand you’re playing with somebody else’s life, and is that fair? I believe these men should be exposed somehow without letting it be known where it came from. I know for sure a lot of women do not want to be sleeping with a man that’s sleeping with a man and will greatly let the gay community have that man.

Why are African American women so quick to jump in the bed with people who don’t care nor respect them? Why do African American women put on a façade that they don’t care about love, so quick to say it’s just sex? I know all races of women use sex as a weapon for money, power and respect but in the end it was our ancestors who was the most ethic group to be sexually abused and disgraced like animals. It blows my mind the number of African American women who don’t think that their bodies are temples and worth more than gold. The white man loved the African American body so much that they displayed and examined it for over 100 years, take the story of Saartjie “Sara” Baartman. Saartjie Baartman was born to a Khoisan family in the vicinity of the Gamtoose River in what is now the Eastern Cape of South Africa. wikipedia.org/wiki/Saartjie_Baartman. Sara was taken to Europe were she was put on display because of her large buttocks and unusual coloring made her the object of fascination by the colonial Europeans who presumed that they were racially superior. A military surgeon wanted Sara to come to London and become an oddity for display. She was taken to London where she was displayed in a building in Piccadilly. Englishmen and women paid to see Sara’s half naked body displayed in a cage that was about a meter and half high. She became an attraction for people from various parts of Europe. After Sara died they still kept her brain, skeleton and genitalia for over 100 years in the Museum of Man in Paris for people to view. Why? Because the African American woman is the most powerful creature made by The Almighty.

African American people are so powerful that the world is threatened so their making it ok for our men to kill each other, making it a trend to be gay and labeling our black women as angry to make us unattractive to our black men so they date outside the race. All that added up is enough to make the African American community extinct don’t let them win. Wrap it up and respect yourselves. Until the next time…. Make it make sense!

Murder in Ft Wayne

Hello All,

My name is Mychelle Williams I’m a wife and mother of 3 wonderful boys. I have had a passion for making a blog for several years to no avail. I have an interest and life goal to be a Life coach/ mentor. Well as I ask in my prayers to be directed in the path he has set for me here I am today writing my very first blog. I still was very stuck on what subjects I should cover and most importantly what means the most to people in my peers and the urban community were I’m going to get the feedback I’m looking for. It took me months and several Prayers to find the answer and I came up with the solution to just free-lance my subjects based on what was going on around me, in my family and community. Me being somewhat of a Sex Therapist (Independent Bedroom Kandi Consultant) I wanted to talk about practicing safe sex, I wanted to talk about sexual assault but as I sat to write my thoughts and feelings on said topics I wasn’t getting the itch or the excitement needed to have a successful topic. So I gave it a week or so and Prayed for the right topic to come for me if it was meant for me to start a blog. As the weeks pass by still no topic and no blog I’m nervous now cause I done talked on Facebook about how I’m starting a blog and I like to be a woman of my word if nothing else. So after having an adult timeout I realized what my first topic should be I Pray you guys enjoy and PLEASE feel free to reply.

I’m from and reside in the 2nd largest city in Indiana and its located about 120 miles north of Indianapolis. The population is about 256,000 the city has a small town feeling everybody knows everybody or someone their related to, dating, married to or have children with. There are very few homeless people and several outlets to help provide shelter, food and clothing. According to wallethub.com the city ranked #56 in the top 150 cities to raise your family. Sounds like an alright place to live right? Right and wrong in the 32 years I have lived in Fort Wayne I have never heard or seen the city in such turmoil as it is now. Why would I say such thing? Because in the last few years we have seen so many people lose their lives to senseless murders. We have lost children, mothers and so many of our minority young men we have left so many children mother and fatherless and left to many mothers crying and with unanswered questions. In the last 3 years there has been a total of 89 homicides which 68 being unsolved murders (jgdata.net). You probably like that happens everywhere, yes it does but hears the problem here most if not all the murders took place on the southeast/west side of town where like I mentioned before EVERYBODY KNOWS EVERYBODY. These cowards that’s killing are only doing so because they have guns and are terrified to get their asses kicked we don’t have no real gangstas in Ft Wayne is to why I’m so appalled as to why so many of these murders are unsolved. If I can call out some people of interest how come the police can’t all I’ve done was be nosey and listen to the situations. I know it’s “innocent until proven guilty” and you have to have evidence to prove someone’s guilty, and you need witnesses. Ok here’s where the problem lays you have to ask questions to get answers and answers solve the problem. So what’s up with the investigation of these murders yeah in the beginning people might be hesitant to give up answers but after the funerals and those victims are put to rest do the city of Ft Wayne have homicide detectives that still look for answers after nobody is talking about the situation. Me personally I don’t believe so because I know people who were on the scenes of some homicides who has yet to be questioned or even approached by a homicide detective after the scene is over. I feel like Ft Wayne being a republican city they really could give two fucks about the minority community I feel they are like if they want to kill each other like animals why should we care, let them kill each other and we’ll focus on prosecuting those individuals who sale drugs and then the minority community a be extinct to the streets of Ft Wayne. The sad part is we are allowing it because I don’t know when it became ok to kill children and no one says or do anything inside the community. Take in instance the horrific murder of 16 years old Alonna Allison killed Aug. 30th, 2015, 2500 block of Schaper Dr. (jgdata.com) going to celebrate the birthday of a friend at a secure and adult chaperoned event was killed by crossfire of two rival “clicks” cus their not gangs. Somebody knows who the individuals that were shooting rather they be the people not allowed in the party rather you were around them after it happened or rather one of the shooters was one of your children or the intended target was your child. Somebody knows or have heard something. Here’s the thing, you know when you watch crime shows like First 48 and a witness gives a name and the police question the individuals? Rather the people being questioned give up any info or not they are still being questioned. Do the FWPD question people that are just possible witnesses to get answers? Is the FWPD allowed to just question people as possible witnesses I know people have the right to remain silence or ask for counsel, but does it ever get to that part? I was told by the mother of homicide of victim that the FWPD cannot question possible witnesses about a murder without a warrant. Is that true or has she been giving the wrong information. Even if that is true take the murder of Fashionee L. Moore killed Aug.15,2015 at 3032 Maumee Ave. (jgdata.net) Fashionee was murdered at a private club commonly known as the after-hours once again in crossfire of from what I hear was a few stupid ass individuals basically shooting for nothing. Ok here’s my problem with the community because no matter what time of the hour or where the location that woman was murdered in front of a crowd of people and don’t nobody know nothing or even feel like damn that could’ve been me. Because she wasn’t the intended target and nor was she alone when she was murdered and I know somebody was standing next to the shooter(s) somebody seen something. Remember she left children behind. Ok FWPD I wasn’t on the scene but I’m for almost certain that more than one or two people called 911 to report a shooting not shots fired so my question is can and do the police legally track those numbers and question the people on what they seen? I think after the funeral people tend to become less reluctant to answer questions. There are like I mentioned earlier 66 other unsolved murders but I mentioned those of Alonna and Fashionee because for one they were in crossfire of a group of cowardly, broke, uneducated and morally fucked individuals because it takes a sick person to kill a child and take a mother from her children negligibly and have no remorse to make it right for all those affected tragically by your selfish stupid ways. These ladies lost their whole lives to nothing and I believe that the community needs to speak but what happened to Protect and Serve why aren’t people being questioned 6 months after the homicide? Why do you snitch on your homeboy for pushing a lil something to cut yo time instead give up them names to all those unsolved murders and tell where them guns are or will it even matter?

I Pray you guys enjoyed my input on murder in Ft Wayne, and please feel free to add yours. I mentioned the dates and locations where the homicides took place if you were there if you know somebody who was or anything be willing to speak to those families and give them closure. If you laying up next to the killer you’re just as cold as he/she is because killing a child recklessly is the most devastating tragedy a city could face, and with this city being so damn small for real somebody knows how to get these murders solved. Most of these crimes are caused by individuls 21-27 and they chirping like birds they have told somebody the story and more than likely a chick knows everything. To the mothers of those individuals out here causing havoc, I know that’s your child but why allow your child to hurt somebody else’s? I know as a mother you can’t control what yur child does once their out on their own but some names of the people I’ve heard that’s involved still latches to mommy so you know when something isn’t right with your child, you know when something is bothering your child and you know when your child has done something. As a mother you can almost pinpoint the date your child start acting a little off and if those dates coincide with these dates…. HANDLE DAT as a woman as a mother. And by any chance a FWPD police officer reads this please give me the input on the other side and help our community know our input will lead to arrest. Because the other day I tried calling crime stoppers just for these purposes and it was busy all 8 times I called in a 4-hour time frame, people lose interest fast if the FWPD is interested in the info. Oh yea and to Crime Stoppers change your moto “You tell we want!” that doesn’t sound good if you not telling hell neither am I. Maybe “You tell we’ll Catch” or something else!!!

Look forward to weekly updates at Mychellemakinitmakesense.wordpress.com of all types of topics!!! Thank you all so much!
